hey guys

erm, im looking for some free softwear that can make images out of disk protected DVD's. Any ideas?

 

Well, what OS are you running? I have a splendid program that I use on OS X called "Mac The Ripper." It rips ANY DVD. I've never had a problem. As far as programs for Windows/Linux/whatever, I can't really help you there.

 

yeh, im on windows XP. I got a lend of The Song Remains The Same so i wanna just make an image of it, so it can be like, free trial stuff or something

Right, new problem. I hva managed to make an ISO image file. How the hell do i play it?

Well, you can burn it to a DVD, or I believe you can simply mount the image (using a burning program, I guess) and watch it that way. I've done that before.

 

you'd need a daemon, some ripping programs have built in daemons for that.....

 

right, how d'ya mount stuff and what does it involve...
