Hello all my name is James, im thinking about trying weed but the thing is I have a minor heart defect (aortic stenosis) could anyone advise me if this would be a bad idea?
On a minor heart defect (or major as far as I know) - weed should not aggravate your condition. It normally has a calming efffect which should not adversely affect your heart at all. There is no sudden jolt to your system like speed. Lots of weed over many years might negatively impact your heart as smoking in general does. If you want to try it - do it in moderation and I think you will be cool. I'm a 62 year old former hippie and I have never heard of a significant problem of the heart caused by week.
I notice there have no responses except mine to Duude. Does anyone agree or disagree? I hate to steer the duude wrong. BTW - Welcome Duude. Stick around the forum a while and see how you like it.
duuude Welcome! And I don't wanna piss on anybody's parade BUT: Are you on any meds for the stenosis? Pot may effect the way your meds work OR intensify the side effects. And weed lowers my blood pressure greatly, which may not be a good thing for you, individual results may vary... hopefully the duuude will abide! have fun
yeh sorry for the late reply. Um so far im not on any meds and will most likely never need to take any action upon the heart defect since it is just a minor heart defect, but please do share your opinions.
