Hi all, new here with questions about adderall...

Hi all,

I have been browsing the internet in hopes to come to a better conclusion on my thoughts of pursuing a trial script of some sort of adderall, and in doing so I found this forum. I imagine there are many threads about the drug, and I am familiar with forums and how they work, but was hoping to start my own thread and get some good solid info pertaining my own questions...

First off, I am a 20 year old Mechanical Engineering student. i am a second semester sophomore and am 2 classes away from being entirely finished with my core curriculum, after which I will be enrolled in strictly engineering topics.

As many people know, engineering is not a normal field of study in college as far as workload and difficulty are concerned. We have to go through basically the highest math and physics that most places offer to obtain our degrees... The stress of trying to accomplish this while working 20+ hours a week, having a girlfriend of 4 years, living at home 35miles from campus, and being a nationally competitive archer are really taking their tole on me mentally...

I am starting to slack in school, failing one of my calculus classes last semester, and having to drop an engineering core class. My home life with my family is tense because my inability to stay on track and follow through with the things that need to be done etc...

So obviously, while im a typically easy going happy guy who appreciates his life and what he has, I am in turmoil inside daily b/c I cannot seem to do anything I want to do!

Last night was the second night I had tried adderall. I took an orange 20mg pill I bought off of a guy. I bought 3 for 10$ in hopes of getting through next weeks finals... I was behind on some calc homework so I figured id take em... As experienced the first time, I stayed focused the entire time and actually LEARNED the work and finished it thoroughly instead of goofing off and watching tv or other things... I do not want these drugs for the benefit of money, or anything else. I am just trying to make my inability to task organizedly better...

So... i'm thinking about going to the Dr. and asking him about it. There are a few reasons why i'm somewhat anxious about this.
1) Telling my parents and girlfriend that I am going to try a drug that I've made fun of people who need before, and that we particularly dont believe in(except me now obviously)
2) Asking the Dr. I just think it will seem super awkward being that my Dr. knows i'm an engineer etc... I just can picture him thinking "why the hell would this kid want adderall other than to abuse them or sell them". I would like to tell him that I tried them and think they will be of benefit to me, and that I would only like to try a trial period or whatever to truly get the affect they will have on my daily life. So would telling him that I've done them illegally be a no-no? or does it matter? I would just feel more comfortable knowing my doc thinks my needs are legit and not just some college fad type of thing and my guilty concious always prevails

That's a tough call man. I think you may need a more legitimate excuse then you think it helps you focus on your studies or whatever. Mentioning your inability to focus and stress it causes at home will sure help. There are other prescription amphetamines like vyvanse that have some weird mechanism that doesn't allow it to activate until its metabolized by your liver or something out now too to prevent abuse like adderall. They may prescribe you something like that if they don't feel your situation warrants adderall.

 

Just find a better addy hook up so you can get through college, but no more after that young man you hear me!!Lol

 

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm just gonna go see my dr and see what he has to say.

What really makes me wanna look into this is the fact that the adverse affects from whatever I've got are directly affecting the people closest to me. Both times I was on the addy's it was clear and forward thinking that was productive.

 

The best way to get adderall or adderall xr from your doc is to explain to them that you have uncontrollable episodes of irritability that seem to come from nowhere. Because of the irritability, it causes you to get so stressed and angry that you cannot function at work or at home. Also tell them that you used to take ritalin as a child, especially if your confident they will not be able to pull up your medical records. Then tell them that it worked wonders for you, but got taken off it because of the side-effects. Use the same irritability story for the reason you were on ritalin as well.

Since Adderall has considerably less side-effects than ritalin, they may point you in that direction.

I was able to get on 20mg Adderall XR and 1mg klonopin for sleep with a story similar to that.... just don't mention anything related to depression, psychotic episodes, respiratory probs or heart probs and your good.... Good luck.
