Hey Emmy, I am Lynn, originally from NYC - I lived my whole life there before hightailing it out of there in 2020 like Bonnie and Clyde with my husband at the time. NYC will always be home to me.

It's been 5 years for me, but I think of NYC all the time. I miss the food the most, honestly.

 

Omg, the pizza and bread. I would wake up at 4am to get the bread fresh out of the bakery. In the south you can use a loaf of bread as a baseball bat. I can't even start to talk about pizza. It's so bad almost everywhere else.

 

Smart move. I left permanently in 1971.

Haha too true! The pizza here is subpar even if this guy Mario that's around here is from Jersey - it just isn't the same - that and a good hot dog - traveling to Coney Island on a summer night was mandatory in my house. Nothing like a Nathan's!

I do miss my Brooklyn Bagels to be honest. A good everything bagel or onion bagel was my favorites. Those were the good 'ol days for sure, lol.
