Found this site while searching for communes, as I am thinking of founding one if I can find the right folks. I'm Chiricahua Apache, a caregiver for my brother (post-polio), and have lived an above-average life. I've been to war (hate it), been a shrimper in the Gulf of Mexico, an electrician on Indian reservations, a college instructor, a nude dancer, travelled far by car, ship, plane, train, and thumb. I've been up close and personal with typhoons, hurricanes, earthquakes, blizzards, wildfires, and droughts. I've been published, fought corrupt unions and won (for what little it turned out to be worth), grow the best and biggest medical plants you've ever seen. I'm unique (as are most of us), and have done more, experienced more, andlived harder and better than most. By better I mean more fulfilling. I'm NOT a christian, don't want to be...I follow the old ways of our people, adapted to modernity. I hope to meet some good folk here to build a new community built on freedom and reciprocal responsibility. I'd add a nice pic of my gardens, but the allowed file sizes are too small...pity, since my plants grow in excess of 12'.
You forgot modest! Welcome. I was tempted to raise my hand and say "how" in a deep voice but I thought that might be offensive. I have also been a nude dancer, fortunately never to an audience.
Welcome!! I myself have some Blackfoot in me, from my fathers side, but were really not in contact with the tribe, unfortunately.
