My friend is a criminal justice major and told me she can "test" my senses and reactions to determine if I'm high. I've always thought this was complete bullshit. I had to follow a light and not move my head and then follow her finger and yeah, she knew I was high. I think this test was not conducted well eough though because 90 percent of the time I'm with her, I'm high so it wouldn't have been a hard guess. Is there scientific testing (Senses, reaction time...) that can definatly determine if you are high are not?
it'd be pretty hard to prove i think... i always thought u couldn't be detained for only being high because LEOs can't physically prove it, however they may (and probably will) search you could be wrong tho
When i got pulled and my friend got arrested i was told that if the officer thinks you are high he is allowed to arrest you and drug test you to determine if your guilty. In this fucked up country you can be forced to pee in front of people and be publicly humiliated for no reason other than suspicion. Land of the Free?
If a cop believes you are driving while impared he can conduct a field sobriety test--I'm sure you've seen those. If you "fail", THEN they can arrest you even if you blow an .00 on the breathalizer. When you get to the cop station sometimes they don't even conduct any tests. If they do you usually have the option of giving a blood or urine sample. My belief is that both of them are a violation of one's Constitutional rights. Violation of one's Right to privacy and also their Right against self-incrimination. And if you refuse, the judge considers that a guilty plea. Nowadays lots of cop cars have video camera's. If you fail a field sobriety test (staggering, slurred speech, etc.) and it's on tape, that's usually all the judge needs. They won't be able to tell what you're "on"--could be over-the-counter cold medicine. Doesn't matter--driving while impared on ANYTHING is a crime.
when you follow the light they are watching your pupils. If they stay real big, or real small, you might be high. Also your eyes will be blood shot in the corners that visine ect. wont take care of. A nurse told me the only thing else that would cause that would if you had brain damage or disorder. But thats only to tell if you are fucked up (driving, or at school or something like that). Otherwise, it could be all kinds of shit to fuck you up, might be cough medecine, or weed, they cant tell that from a visual exazm. And if you are ever caught in school, or work or something. If you go to the nurse's office, dont eat all the candies out of the jar on her desk. Thats a DEAD giveaway! :-D
