You have to give Gravel credit. He and Paul seem to be the only ones that want to address the true facts. Ever heard of Mike Gravel, probably not unless you are paying attention. The media certainly never mentions him. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sen-mike-gravel/hillary-war-with-iran-is_b_66505.html
Or have you bought into her new press that she is onboard with the Webb Bill, read the exceptions and listen to her answers during the debate. She's onboard for escalation. Makes her look good but probably won't pass before GW pulls his crap and has so many exceptions that he'll get away with it anyway and Hillary can say she voted against it...but did she really?
Just why are you carrying water for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard? These folks were recently indicted in Argentina for doing a truck bomb on a Jewish community center and killing approx 80 people. Was in the 90's, they also did up a synagouge in Buonos Aries and killed another dozen or so about the same time. The people of Iran loathe the IRG as agents of oppresion.
Not carrying water for anyone, especially Bush. How many people has he been responsible for killing? Anyone have an accurate figure? How many dead have our billions paid for? Careful too many and it seems grizzly, to few and it seems this war hasn't been effective. I'll let the people of Iran govern their own lives and their own country. I won't pretend to make their decisions for them.
After quite a bit of searching, I cannot find where the IRG was officially indicted for the bombings in Argentina or Buenos Aires. I see where there are suspects of Iranian origin, but no proof of connection to the IRG. Can you provide a reliable link for me?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/13/AR2007011301253.html Don't know how specific this is to the IRG. plenty on the web about the bombings. thanks for the come-back
Yeah, no conection to IRG, and from the history of the investigation, very shaky evidence against Iran. Not saying they are not involved, but to say so as a fact is premature.
I am sure this administration will dig up something to implicated them as responsible for some sort of rape and pillage in the past. How else can they demonize and create a new focus for their terrorist shadow enemy.
Hey gshdgns........thanks for the paitence, found the newspaper in the pile....... ......its The Wall Street Journal dated 10/16/2007. Editorial by Bret Stephens. Their shit is often by paid membership only ( capitalist pigs) so not sure if its on the web anywhere. The paper costs a $1.00 and has a large subscription, even if the editorial is slanted right it cant be total bullshit, like Pravda or some web publication. they do have a reputation to uphold and are a publicly traded media co. It names names and current offices held by the aledged bombers. The case is old at this point. If you want me to type in the details, let me know ! Bottom line, these people are scum, so even if The Shah was a royal prick at least you could wear,... read,.. and drink what you wanted to. Shah Reza Pavlavi was a primary driver of the OPEC oil shocks of 1974 and 1979 so I'm not enamoured of the dude.
Give us a link so we can read it for ourselves. Failing that how about scanning it in and showing us jpg.
Twelve years later and according to the BBC no one knows who is responsible. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/5190892.stm
I am unable get the link, don't have the subscription, see Slate: http://www.slate.com/id/2176626/nav/tap2/ The truly curious are able to visit a free public library and see the article. If you really don't want to belive it nobody can force you too. Hopefully the animus toward bush isn't causing you to whitewash his enimies. There are thousands of Iranian refugees in California who can give first hand accouts of the terror back home.
