Anybody interested in forming a fantasy football league? I got involved in one last year and it was alot of fun, you dont really have to know much about the game or even pay much attention to the game in general. The computer will do most of the work as far as picking players and stuff, unless you want to. I dont really know to much about starting a league but if there is enough interest I will look into it (need 12 people at least) So if anyone is interested you can PM me or respond here or both.
Come on, nobodys interested Its fun, and makes football season ALOT more entertaining Alls we need is 12 people rettyplease:
I think fantasy football is rather silly, but good luck, bro. It's hard to even find sportsfans here =P
for american league? I know nothing about it but i'll join in. I'm a football and general sports fan. +1
Well last year I was in one on NFL.com that was pretty cool, but I think you need 12 players although I'm not sure and will really look into it today. I was looking on ESPN yesterday that has leagues with just 8 people. I will figure out which one is better, or if anyone knows of something else let me know. The scoring is kind of weird, you get points for players skill levels as well as scoring. The computer does most of the work as far as drafting players, keeping track of scores and ranking, although you can draft your own players if you want and make trades if you dont like the players the computer drafts for you.
I have no idea how to do it by the way, but i'm sure it's easy enough it's a shame we don't do it for hockey instead
We can have one for hockey too I like hockey better, but this is cool too because it makes football season a little more exciting.
Heh, well i'll do whatever. If a hockey one was ever done, i'm sure some of the Canadians of this site (of which there are hundreds), would take part I don't actually know the rules to football either, but I was planning on checking it out on ESPN this season anyways. How do you play this fantasy football thing?
Football is alot of fun for fantasy, because its only a 16 game season and each team play 1 game a week pretty much. Ill help you out too a bit too if I get into it. Not like on who to pick because I want you to lose but on certain things that may need explaining. They are usually pretty straightforward. Its simple enough the average American can do it Although I'm not sure what this scoring based on skill level is about. Some leagues are slightly more complicated...
oh ok so this is a slightly more advanced league...??? Alot just score based on points scored in the game but this will take into account like rushing yards for running backs reception yards for wide receivers quaterback completion percentage Type stuff?
Lucky for you I am not an American then, I suppose I order ESPN over Sky anyways, so I can watch the games and what not, but I fear you will have no trouble beating me. I do have one friend that watches American Football here in the UK, so he might give me a slight heads up with players and whatever else
