I posted this thread on the main board, but wanted to post it here too. I'm looking for a new "hippie" hobbie (other than knitting or drumming).

    Anyone have any ideas??

I spend a lot of time making those hemp twine bracelets and necklaces. It's actually a lot more fun than you'd think. I sell them in a booth here in Austin, it's gave me some nice pocket cash lol. Um, I like making shampoo, tie-dying, and that's basically it, other than listening to music...

I've been tye dying alot lately and its soo fun and you never know how its gonna turn out till you pull it out. Dye is cheap too, like two or three dollars a color. Happy crafting.

Fishing catch and release (especially if you have kids, it's a great thing to get them outdoors close to nature and also great for learning respect to all things around), gardening, weaving, sewing, homebrewing, cooking, camping, hiking, writing, painting, singing, dancing....

Whatever makes you most at ease and free.
