this is somewhat standing on its head, although back in the day, i always did consider blue denum a kind of gratuitous uniform. i do love peace symbols and how long hair looks on everybody else. but the real hippies, the people the term was coined to trivialize and discredit, weren't about getting stoned or a mode of dress, but about caring more about the kind of world we all have to live in, then about what anyone thought of them as a person. THAT was the moral high ground, that was ours, and still would be if people valued and wanted it. and you know what? i still believe at least SOME of us do. not just belief, but know, of my personal knowledge thereof. the stereotypes who CALL themselves hippies, partyists mostly, and hey, i'm not knocking having a good time, but people who care more about trying to impress each other, we used to call them day trippers. =^^= .../\...
what the fuck, i thought she was my wife? you fucking two timing slut i'm gonna kick hippies faces in with my new doc martin boots tonight
RIGHT ON!!!! Daytrippers annoy me. They band together with all the other "hippies" to protest society and to be nonconventional and then they all look alike. I have never gotten that and don't think I ever will.
trust fund "day trippers"? Oh the rich snooty ones? the ones that mama and dada bought them luxury cars that they would drive and then wear ragged out clothes and not take showers and stuff? If that is what you mean, I got your number. I knew a guy just like that.
