What are you opinions on voteing? Many believe in neglecting the govt and taking no part in the screw ups. However, some believe that unless your voice is heared you have no place to bitch!

Just wondering what your thoughts are!

What are your opinions on spelling "voting"?
As far as those who "believe that unless your voice is heard...oops...heared...you have no place to bi-atch", fuck 'em. You get the right to complain by paying taxes. You pay taxes, you pay their salary. You support the dishonest fuckers financially. That is what gives you the right to complain.

i dont vote. i dont really see the point. its like arguing for either coke or pepsi. their both shwag as far as im concerned. i dont like soda. period. the differences in republican stooge vs. democratic stooge, are so miniscule. we miss the real issues arguing these miniscule differences.

Voting in a two party system in which both parties are almost identical, and where the votes don't matter too much is a waste of time.

I agree, but I still think you should vote. Vote for a third party candidate. Granted a third party candidate has no chance in hell of winning, but at least it sends the message that I am a voter and I am not voting for the two parties in control. Who gets this message or who cares I don't know or care.

Voting on a state and local level really can make a difference.

I vote, almost exclusively for third party, and underdogs.........I don't believe theirs any point in it and I do think its a waste of time, however i'm a proponent of the constitution, which gives me the right to vote......I get a little self satisfaction out of exercising my rights.........but that's it.

I Vote and i want everyone to vote. If you don't vote that is a choice you make and i won't argue it. but complaining about the results is out of the question if you don't vote.

anyways PLEASE VOTE no matter who you vote for just Vote.

Third parties first need to invest into their own capaigns... the independents are not doing enough to get votes.

Anyhow, I agree... VOTE on state and local level, you can actually make a difference there.

You can't get the word out or get votes without supporters and their money. I would think that with more support and money these parties would do all they can to get votes. We the voters need to do more. If all those who want Bush out of office, those of a typically more liberal ideology, still vote democrat because they don't want to "throw away thier vote" nothing is going to change. We will just keep switching between two identical parties hidden behind so called liberal or conservative social values.

True, but it would take a whole lot of years for the independent parties to even get half the votes that the two major parties get... I have to be realistic and say that it won't happen.

I can't vote in the US anyhow, so I'm just blabbering more than anything. I like how the political system is set up in Israel... There are two strong parties, and then a good 10 not so strong, but surely not weak parties... and every party gets seats in the Knesset (Parliament) based on the votes it gets... There is no single winning party (and no bullshit senate/congress/judiciary/electorate system). In Israel I can at least vote for Green Leaf (Marijuana legalization and environmentalist party), and know that my vote will matter and that they have a strong platform. They don't want control, and don't want to have a member of theirs serve as Prime Minister, they just want to focus on a few important issues... and this lets the voter focus on these issues as well, without the rest of the bullshit.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. At least I don't think I'll live to see it.

in our system the third party is only good for helping the republicans gain office.
