I was reading about this at work last night..Looks quite cool...Stephen Fry as the book..should be ace Can't wait to see this.... Oh and Bill Bailey as the whale's voice...he he how funny...
This one's even funnier and features the voice of the Guide (Stephen Fry). It can be saved by right clicking the link and selecting 'save target as' in Internet Explorer or 'save link as' in Firefox. The trailer you linked is also downloadable by saving this link. Or there's a fantastic quality 50 meg version here. I said to Sam the other day "if the casting of the sperm whale was the most perfect bit of casting on the face of the planet ever, who would they cast?". She paused for a moment before responding "Bill Bailey". That's how fucking good this movie is gonna be.
Thanks for the extra links Dok Yeh, I was kinda dubious about a few things i.e. Ford being American, but it kinda works well from what I've seen so far
i thought marvin would have been bigger, more clumsy and grey annnnd not so damn cute!hehe, looking forward to it a great deal!
I can't wait for the film! It's going to be great. I've just started reading 'Life the Universe and Everything', I'm totally addicted....
Dok's trailer look's really good. I'm trying to work out of Zaphod is in it anywhere. I'm really hoping he's not the guy with long hair, it would be stupid if he was played by a human actor....
he is - ford says "hey zaphod" to the dude with long blonde hair... on the same dude we see an extra arm at one point, and also another head pop up... not as cool as the original zaphod...
It's nice to see they gave the guy from Nickleback a shot at acting. As for the extra head/third arm being hidden...the only alternative would be CGI, which would cost lots/look crap (have you seen the backgrounds in the Star Wars Episode III screenshots?) for something that's only glancigly mentioned in the book. I'll be iterested to see if both heads can operate at the same time, though, like in the scene at Milliways...
It's mentioned quite a lot that he has two heads. Is that really the bloke from Nickleback? And Marvin's great, he's always my favourite character. I'm never going to be able to look at a depressed person again without bursting out laughing....
marvin doesn't look depressing anymore. marvin used to look so plain and unfancy... which reflected perfectly his personality - plain and unfancy - just depressingly grey. now he looks adorable = )
