Hmm....could you do this?

I have been literally wondering this for years. If you could somehow travel into the past like when they first had phones. Could you make a phone call to the future? Like literally be in the past talking to someone and on there end its like many years later than it is on your end. That would be amazing. Or perhaps an alternate universe. Call yourself but be your exact opposite self on the other line.

 

i don't see how it would be possible, but then i don't see how it would be possible to travel to the past...

 

of course, radio's a different story...

No, that would mean your time travel included two times, which is beyond the idea of time travel we have.

 

I don't think the number would work if you called from the past. Especially if it was a cell phone number.
But maybe it would. I don't know.

now that i think about it, i suspect the early phones would just ring through before you got the area code in, since phone numbers used to be much shorter...

 

Actually it might be possible to time travel or at least to make a time machine some time far into the future. At least thats what some scientists are saying.

 

Well not with a normal telephone. You could send a letter and say don't open till X date.

Or you could kill your child aged grandmother. But then how would you have traveled back in time to kill her?

Well now that I really think about it. Cell phones need service to work and service comes from towers. No towers no service I guess. I also wonder why they make those towers to look like trees I mean its not fooling anyone.

to be in a different time would be so weird
how would it feel for a person...? the same as any moment?

Actually the theory is*finds article I looked up to find it* if you know the present you can't change it like if you know one hundred percent your father is alive if you went back in time to kill him you wouldn't be able to.
