Going to Holland soon, just like to know how old do you have to be to buy and smoke weed there?

 

18, and technically it isnt "legal"

 

I believe you have to be 18. And it's not exactly 100% legal, you probably don't want to walk down the street smoking a spliff. But what you can do is chill out in one of the many marijuana/hashish cafes.. this is where you can get stoned absolutely legally. They don't serve huge amounts though, there's some sort of limit.. but they have a huge selection of marijuana and hashish from all over the world so you should check it out for sure.

 

Yeah the age limit is 18, the limit you can purchase in a shop is 5 grams. Possesion of any amount of cannabis is illegal, but there is a policy of non-enforcement, they don't prosecute you if you have just enough for personal use (5 grams or under), and although the police would be within there rights to confiscate your cannabis even if you have under 5 grams they do not excercise that power. Also there have been cases where people have been found in possession of 300 grams of cannabis and only recieved a fine under 1000 euro. Also it is exceptable to grow up to 5 cannabis plants on your own property, for your own use.

I'm pretty sure thats just a myth, not sure on the laws concerning police searches but they do stop and search people.

 

just excersise common sense. you can smoke in the cafes, and probably in a lot of concert venues, and clubs and stuff. just dont be rude and walk around tokin in view of children and shit.

 

They have signs in amsterdam on various streets where you cant smoke pot, if the sign aint around you should be alright?

 

sounds awesome i wish we had some sort of place we could smoke it here and not get the law shoved up our asses. what the fuck is wrong with weed and why is the united states just so shitty?

Cops have the right to search for and confiscate marijuana but they do not exercise that right. In essence, marijuana is illegal but the law isn't enforced.. no it's not a loophole, that's how they want it to be.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if it had to do with us giving them foreign aid.

Amsterdam cops don't give a shit about weed, I;ve been going there for years now. What they are doing is looking for weapons. But you dont wanna mess with Amsterdam cops as they are tough as shit and don't take any crap from tourist gob shite. Even the woman cops are 6' plus. You can buy 5g of weed at a time in a coffeeshop and have no more than 30g in possession but if your a twat, look dodgy or giving them unecessary grief they will not hesitate to run you in. A

Amsterdam is fucking ace and if you havn't been you gotta go and check it out. Grey Area coffeeshop has pure weed. You get the actual dust particles (trichomes) in a bag
and you can't get any more pure than that. Mmmmm, only a few months left before I'm there again for the umpteenth time.

 

all "soft" drugs are tolerated. Weed, hash, shrooms. if you wanna walk around, blow before you go out or have a brownie on you. tree brownies aint as potent as they used to be but, are still pretty cool. don't worry about shit, cops are dumb ass cool out there, as long as you aint starting shit you'll be aiight.

 

Never been to Grey area but, Baba's has crystal shake also. The Rokerij got some fine ass beezies working there and Abraxas is raw as fuck too. word of advice 4 the thread starter, stay away from any weed that has Jamaica or Jamaican next to it or in it's name. pure bammer dark green hella seeds.
