my dog, rattler, did that when i was little. that dog was a menace, though i thought he was neat. we had to put him down after he broke every chain we put him on while mom was working.

my take is that your dog will no longer be good to keep around. i'd put him down. they tend to work their way up the food chain. rattler got the taste for blood and started attacking my dad.

i've never called myself hip. i'd still put the dog down. because now he's gonna have to be chained or caged, because he's not gonna be safe anymore.

    dude, i'm sorry.

you should take him to the vet before he starts getting that taste for blood, like the other guy said. or he might start trying to eat other things.

also, neva said i was hip

You probably need to have him put down, he might be dangerous... your only other option is to keep him chained.

Its your desicion on which you'd rather do... IMHO its more cruel to keep him chained. [IMG]

You could have somebody else do it, or you could get a shotgun and take him out old yeller style.

thats really fucked up. i wouldnt be able to handle the thought of ripping off a cats hind legs...i would prolly have nightmares for amny years to come from that.
at anyrate, you needn't put the dog down, but it does sound like it needs to be rehabilitated by a trained professional. get an animal psychologist to look at it if you want to save its life. something made the dog do that, and it may not neccesarily be the dogs fault. an inderect consequence of how it was raised or is handled.
what kind of dog is it?

    Have the fucking thing euthanized.

The dog is probably rabid or sick in some way, which isn't a surprise because it lives in the middle of an environment straight out of the movie Deliverance.

And I doubt you take your animals to the vets or get them vaccinated.

Actually, instead of putting the dog to sleep, you can invite some of your backwoods hillbilly friends over for a cookout. I am sure they'd enjoy roast dog.

Has your dog ever done anything like this before? Was he showing any weird signs of illness?

What is he doing right now? Is he breathing weird? Bring him to the Vet and have them check him out.

Either way, don't let your dog suffer.

Sorry to hear about your cat. Doesn't sound normal for a dog to just attack a cat like that outa the blue. He must of seen your cat before. What was he like then?

    Was this your cat?
