Okay, so I'm not the most affectionate person and a lot of times I feel like an idiot calling the person I'm with "honey" or "baby". So I'm looking for some sweet names that I might be able to use to show him that I care without sounding like a dunce..or worse, his grandma.

List yours please and thank you!

Personally, I find "babe" a little less sweet and cutesy than "baby," but still appropiately affectionate. I don't know why, I just like it more.
That probably didn't help you at all, sorry about that! It just randomly came to me that I, for some reason, am more comfortable saying and being called "babe" than "baby."
Then, of course, there's all the animals and foodstuffs, as Marija brought up - "puppy," "pumpkin," "sugar." I know one girl who calls her boyfriend "pookie" or "pookie-kins" at all times.
And then there's the classic "schmoopie." I'm sure he'd love it...the good old classic argument: "You're schmoopie!" "No, YOU'RE schmoopie!"

YOU TOLD ME SHE HAS THREATENED YOU TO CALL LAWYERS SO WHY DO YOU DEFEND HER AND WHY DO YOU WANT TO TALK TO HER AT ALL?

AND WHY DONT YOU KEEP ME INFORMED OF WHAT IS GOING ON?

I do it on the time. Babe, baby, baby doll, doll baby, doll face, hun, honey, love, sweetheart, darlin, Angel, Angelface and so on. I heard it growing up, so I do it too. I was called doll from my mom and sister. More so when I was sick.

i agree that babe might be the easiest thing to say; i call my bf it, and it doesn't make him or me feel awkward at all. ;)

Thanks for the replies. I can now comfortably call him babe, baby, and honey. I referred to him as "sweetie" earlier and it wasn't so bad. lol

I can't wait until we get the "I love you's" out of the way, then I'll just be able to call him love. ....fetch me a glass of wine, love... aww :) First I must fall in love. lol
