This morning while i was asleep my dad let my kitty jack outside like he always does cuz hes a indoor/outdoor kitty someone posiened him with anti-freeze his lungs colasped my mom took him to the vet to put him to sleep he didnt deserve to suffer

Its amazing what people do to animals like Jack. Jack was an amazing kitty so curious and loving i never saw him bite or even growl at anyone or anything he slept and played with my baby kittys MoTown and Pooh who i found on the side of the road their eyes werent even open it was sad.

Srry im grieving right now but its true there are a lot of horrible people out there -

seriously file charges against the person who did this to your cat if you know who it is. if you don't know, report it to your local humane society. the person who did this cannot get away with it. they need to know that there are consequences for their actions. you don't just go kill something for no reason. that's a fucked up person who really needs help, as well! i always feel that when a person harms a creature for no reason they are seriously a fucked up individual with serious mental problems...

To animals anit freeze is sweet. They are drawn towards it because it smells sweet(though tastes different). So maybe it was just a horrible accident.Im sorry for your loss.

    SadieRain,

The feeling from you, through what you have written, is strong; you love Jack. Clearly you are a person who can love, who can appreciate life. Jack would want you to be happy. I know how you feel, I had a cat, a wonderful, wonderful cat, named Amelia who died in a similar kind of way. It is a complicated story, but, while she was dying and I was trying help her, those able to help her would not and they laughed at and mimicked me. I can relate and I send my love and blessings to you and to Jack.

I have learned in my life that before and after life are altered states of consciousness. This does not lessen the importance of a life. Life is precious. Be silent and feel, learn and become stronger from this; fill yourself with the pride coming from humility in knowing that you are living well, doing good. Help yourself, help others, live well; feel the joy and the pain openly and honesty.

This a friend that I met years ago, click here.

    Love and Peace,

    David

    Sick.

    Evil.

We had a guy in our neighbourhood do that - he was tired of the neighbours' cats going and digging and crapping all over his garden.

So he simply poisoned the neighbourhood cats and said if people wanted their cats to live they could keep them indoors and out of other peoples' property.

This was back in the day, no charges were filed.

Wasn't too popular. Ended up with a lot of human damage to his garden.

    Cowardly.
Even today, the loser would probably get a $50 fine and that's it. I think vigilante justice is the only thing in this case. Normally I don't advocate violence (bwar har did I just say that?) but SadieRain, if you ever figure out who did it, I'd be more than happy to drum up a good ole fashioned lynching.

Every year, by some estimates, about 10,000 dogs and cats are victims of accidental poisoning by antifreeze. Are you sure someone just gave it to your cat? did you witness it?

A few ounces are lethal. For a medium sized dog, ingestion of about 2 ounces (3-4 tablespoons ) is toxic. For cats, as little as 1/4 of an ounce (1-2 teaspoons) can be lethal.

This poisoning happens often to animals who are allowed to roam freely in their neighborhoods, even a few innocent licks of this sweet-tasting liquid can be fatal to a cat... Your cat could have easily roamed into someones car-port and licked an antifreeze spill... you never know.. inless you seen people force your cat to eat it..

What ShadowdDreamer says is true. And, in my opinion, if someone did hurt a creature intentionally like this it is important to not do foolishness in return; it will not bring the creature back; it will not teach anything good; and it will not protect society. If it is not accidential, if this is known, then others including the police should imformed. And the person experiencing the pain should, in my opinion, protect themselves emotionally; vengeance, which is quite different from defending, will only amplify the injury. Instead focus on the reality of the loss and let the 'processing' begin; let healing begin.

I would suggest, if you ever have another cat, keep it indoors.. Its the safest option... Sorry for your loss.. Loosing a pet hurts alot..
