prefer cold because then you can at least bundle up, whereas if you're too hot even beign naked doesn't always stop you from overheating
you can do something about the cold, so I say cold. where as when its super hot, if you don't have AC or a body of water available to swim in, you're pretty much screwed
I can always put on enough clothes to take the chill out of the air when the power goes out, but when it gets hot, there is nothing I can do...I can't strip to my bones...
I'd choose for the cold. I'm not the kind of person who easily freezes to death, but I do get really sick when it's very hot. But of course, I'd rather have both.
i hate it when i get cold it tends to seep into my bones and I can't get rid of it even clothed up, i guess i tend to be hotter anyway, as often i'll go out without a coat and be fine when everyone elses bundled up. can't think of anything more blissful than being too hot and ripping off all my clothes! S
I prefer the heat. Though I can tolerate both. I would rather have to strip down naked than put a bunch of clothes on to stay warm. I like being able to move freely
Nah, has nothing to do with that. It seems like I am ALWAYS cold. No matter what I typically am wearing 2 layers of clothes while sitting under a heavy blanket. I am ready to be hot for a change.
having lived in tropical Australia and in Darkesst Canada I would take -40 over +40 any day. Why? Heat makes you nauseus, you move slower, you dehydrate, and there is noting you can do beyond naked. In the cold, sure limbs will fall off, but you can dress well enough to not feel the cold, and your ability to get around isn't impaired by feeling dizzy and ill.
Interesting that the poll shows 75% (as of right now anyways) would prefer to be hot. Makes sense for the tropical mammal that we are (or, evolved to be). I also voted for hot. Coldness is not that easy to guard against, and I hate having to put on all those damn clothes just to go outside. Heat is easier: jump in a lake, dump water over your head, wear less clothes. Most people can sweat enough to keep cool, if they stay hydrated, though humidity can be a problem. "Sure, limbs will fall off..." WTF!? No big deal? I gotta say I like having all my toes, fingers, arms, legs, ears, and nose. Plus, cold can kill easily too. You just doze off, and actually start feeling HOT, so you tear off your clothes and hasten your own death, all the while feeling blissfully happy.
SWEAT I love hot dry weather 90 degrees is perfect to me and I can tolerate comftrabley up to 110 when other people want to stay in the hotels and airconditioning
i'd love a warmer climate than what i have in vermont. so yea, hot weather is good, as long as i have plenty of ways to cool off - water to drink, pool, ocean...i'll be all set.
