I'm actually a fan of neither, I find house to be more tolerable.

You might like this. My favorite part is round right around 8 mins.

popular opinion doesnt prove anything. on the grand scheme of things top 40 music would win and we all know that top 40 is trash

im sorry but you all have a horrible taste in music. just because a lot of you have a shitty taste in music doesnt change that fact one bit.

house music builds and builds and then drops right back to where it was. its like having sex without an orgasm.

dubstep builds and builds and then you think its gonna drop but they slip a couple more things in then it fucking blows up into the most intense musical orgasm in the world! then it throws you across the room and pulls you back in and before you can catch your breath blows you up again, and then when you think youre too tired to even stand it keeps you flippin the fuck out.

dont get me wrong until i heard dubstep i was an avid house and trance fan. in comparison though there is seriously nothing happening in house and trance tracks. it is unbelievably empty. perhaps you have not heard the best dubstep djs, or you have not been to a live show. because seriously the main reason why people do not like dubstep is because there speakers cant handle it and you miss out on what dubstep really is.

if you want to hear seriously good electronic music though its all about IDM. if you have access too acid i would recommend taking more than youve ever taken and listening to tipper on the best surround sound speakers you can muster (as he records his music in surround sound). Eskmo and ott are also really good. again, you really need the best speakers possible and they will still not match concert grade speakers.

i dont mean to be high on myself, I see youre from california so you may think youre waay hipper than i am and thats cool. however, minnesota has a killer electronic scene. I have seen plenty of different genres of electronic music and honestly house is stuck in the 90s. if you want to dress up like a little candy kid and run around like a little ferry than more power to you (I do not mean that as a homophobic slur...i really mean ferry like the little pixie things) than more power to you. if you want to listen to really conscious music thats pushing the limits of sound and challenging not only the artist's ingenuity but available technology and hardware than you gotta evolve and leave house behind.

WARNING if you try to use tiesto as a defense for your taste in music i will laugh very very hard, judge you, and fart in your general direction

I don't generally like either, but I think the most important post in this thread was:

Unless you think Lil Wayne is the best rapper of all time, or Kesha is better than Ella Fitzgerald; this thread is rather pointless.

oh and if you really want to get into some sick electronic music you should check out EOTO. its michael travis and jason hann's electronic jam side project. Also, holy kimoto which is travis, Hann, Kimock and Hallingsworth.

i tried to give it a chance, but no there is nothing left for this genre. its all dried up. everything has been done. seriously i would have loved this stuff when i first started listening to electronic music, so its not like im sitting here trying to just be a part of the new best thing. house is dried up!

check out flux pavilion, downlink, liquid stranger, bassnectar's first couple albums, datsik, heyoka, mimosa. you might really appreciate skrillex cause he uses a lot of electro house but makes it interesting with his drops.

Yeah I have heard like half of those. I still disagree. I listen to new GHR every single week and its always maintaining to be fresh as can be. I never can wait for the next weeks episode if I could Id listen to ghr 24/7. Look I get that is what you think about house, just try not to speak for everyone as much like you are "right". I like dubstep a lot.
