how can i tell if my purchase is real

how can i tell if my purchase is real and not something that could suffucate my brain of oxygen,

ok i bought this from a friend, this is my first time it s sealed in smal baggy then in bigger baggy twistedtight and doubled in same bag and tied with twist tie, in a camels hard box(u know the cig boxs) and with the box 3 inchs away it smells like a weed (the kind that grow widly everywhere, but slightly different its realy strong i had that in my pants pocket all day and when u smell the pants pocket on out side u can also smell it, does this sound like its teh real thing, or could it be like weeds out side, the smell is strong. and its in smal bunches on teh stems and ready to be picked ya know, just a small testing amount, ill try and post a pic but pls answer as i want to take a hit tomorrow and dont wana smoke it if its not the real thing
