Hullo evrybody. Today Ive quarreled with my sister (justa lil') cause of strange thing. Its name is LJ. So Live Journal. Not LJ upon the whole, but one of its communities - "Give For Free". The purport of this one is, to let ppl who have needless things, and ppl who need this things (for which these things are necessary) to let em help each other. One can also exchange, barter and so on, or maybe buy things for a modest price. It's working! Ppl meet one another, help one another and become happy oh YEAH. They even come to each other and have fun, they also fallin in love with one another and sooooo on. -Bye -Bye. Today ya online? -Yeah -Okay, will get ya. Stop. It is freedom, they say... Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel this freedom has evrything of the real freedom but one thing - it's virtual. You are loved, and your lovely friends are at your door soon, they are ringin a bell... Oh, you're leaving your place at the computer and going to let 'em in. You must be online to be free. (?!) Is it right?! Isn't "being online" a part of not-freedom? Isn't it a kind of limitation? One must be (internet-)freak to be free? Well, I'm not sure. As for me, I luv real people. I love to look 'em in the eyes, i luv to talk, doesn't matter if I speak my native language or my broken english. I luv to live without fear to be disconnected and forgotten. Hipforums are irrelevant, cuz here we have aim and so on. So what do you think about all this? Is this a new kind of freedom which someday will reach its apotheosis or I take it too close to heart ?
hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... well, I think you should be able to find room for both in your life, the internet allows for people all around the world to socialise and exchange opinions etc directly... a place where the world can meet without any restrictions due to distance or status (to an extent) ... it doesn't mean you should spend your whole life on-line, it's also a great resource for information in general.
