If you are still running xp

Go to run type in cmd

Or you can go to Programs, Accessories, Command prompt in the start menu

    type in
    config\all hit enter
    release it

    ipconfig\release hit enter

    to reset
    ipconfig\renew hit enter

    Good luck :)

I've found completely changing your IP address to be a rather difficult task. Very few of the methods actually work for everyone.

    One method is:
    Open CMD
    type ipconfig /release
    type ipconfig /renew
This dosn't work with all internet service providers. Does shit for me.

Some people find turning of your modem for 5 minutes or so will renew their IP... not for me though.

You can also release your IP from your router if you are using one.

    Hope this helped.

Its strange, I hardly know how to do things like changing IP address, but I'm extremely fluent in SQL Injection and web vulnerabilities. By the way .GOV means shit.

    once I type "ipconfig/release"

I get the submask with 0.0.0.0
    IP 0.0.0.0

    then I type "ipconfig/renew"

and I get the same IP as before commanding "ipconfig/release"

Like I said, it seems not to work for many people. Not to sure what else you can do.
And yeah, why do you need to change you IP address?

You can not change the IP that is used over the internet, it is assigned by your ISP. The only way you could possibly get a new IP would be if your service was terminated for a day or two and then re-connected, then you would most likely be assigned a new IP from the pool of available #'s.

It may be a lot easier to not get banned from websites.

My provider offers this>>>Ive not used it yet but am thinking about setting it up because of another issue not related to any sites I am currently using...maybe your provider also offers this (or maybe you a still using that free provider;) )

    Encrypted browsing

    • How does it work?
It consists of an encrypted tunnel created through an SSH protocol connection. We provide you with the tools to tunnel unencrypted traffic over a network through an encrypted channel.
    • Why do I need it?
SSH tunnels provide a means to bypass firewalls that prohibit certain Internet services. It also allows you tobrowse the World Wide Web while hiding the IP address and any other personally identifiable information from the websites that one is visiting

Those two are good because you don't get so many, if any, pop ups. I'm not quite sure, but it seems when you use a proxy it opens you up to spam. A lot of it. Well, it can do. Be careful.
