how do you feel about being on hipforums?

i would like to know what you think of hipforums, not from a standpoint of criticism of the site, but just in general, that it is here and available for you.

the internet, like everything, is good and bad. i like that i can talk to people i've never met, or sell hats to people across the world. but i don't like that my mother spends all day playing words with friends on facebook.

i know it's common for people to discard something entirely if they feel even a little consumed by it, so some would argue that hippies or just people in general should shun the internet altogether, because it can be poisonous.

what do you think?

 

I've always liked that I can say whatever I think without fear that I will get a smackdown from someone who disagrees

Hipforums is unlike any forum I've ever encountered. I love it. First of all, theres a forum for almost everything. Music, Drugs, mental health, general health, weirdness, videos, movies, and so on.

Second, the community here is just... better. You know how on every other forum people get their panties in a bunch if the same question is asked twice? ''Use the fucking search engine!'' and so on? Well it doesnt happen here. We love each other.

Also, theres a bunch of weird freaks (including me) with twisted senses of humor, which I emjoy very much. It's pretty much all out in the open around here, as life should be

Big fan of hip forums.

 

I mean, you can be a glutton about everything. I like to think I spend a reasonable amount of time online. This forums site is the best.

I'm new to this site but I have to say it's great. Even though I am not a big fan of technology, there aren't many Hippie web sites out there where us "neo-Hippies" can get in touch with others like us. So it's cool, man. I'm happy it's here.

 

This pretty much sums it all up for me. I don't go on too many message boards but this one's an exception for the reasons above. There's just such a variety of topics and people. Also, the folks here aren't dicks like most boards.

 

I've Been A Member Here For Almost 5 Years, And Can Honestly Say

I've Enjoyed Every Minute Of It....

I Would Have Expected Such A Diverse Group Of People To Be At Each

Others Throats, But Most People On Here Are Tolerant, And Most

Importantly, Have A Sense Of Humour...

I'm with ya, Lil John. I was born in 64, so too young to be a hippie, but I was definitely influenced by the movement. I listened to the Beatles as young as 4, wore the clothes, bellbottoms, peasant blouses, headbands as a kid. Really missed the whole thing by about 10 years. Always felt I was born too late. But you know what??? I feel another movement comin' on!!!
