wood, charcoal, or gas? personally i prefer wood if it's quality wood. certain woods offer an unbeatable flavor to the food. charcoal is consistent in quality and always good, though, and offers a similar taste. with a gas grill you may as well just roast it in the oven or broil it, as far as i'm concerned. it adds no flavor, and theres no point to cooking on a grill if it doesnt change the flavor, if you ask me.
I like charcoal, it's easy and it does add a nice taste. Though I do use my gas grill sometimes too for quesadillas.
i like wood best especially if it's hickory or sasafrass, (spelling, of course) good stuff next would be charcoal kingsford of course and gas grill is kinda dumb in my opinion but hey thats just me
Same here... apple wood is particularly good for smoking. It adds a very nice flavor to baby back ribs.
