I'm putting this one up at the request of my partner - he wants to know just how strange his shaving habits are. First of all, I want to say both of us wish he didn't have to shave. I like his face all furry-like, and he just prefers to not have the hassle. But his work has him dealing with conservative little-old-ladies all the time, and his long hair is enough of a strangeness to them. He feels they respond better with his face shaved, so he does it. It's all or nothing for him though - he's not big on goatees and other "patterns". If he shaves it all comes off. Because of this it seems he doesn't need a mirror or anything. He shaves with regular dual-blade razors, in the shower, with water (no soap, no cream), with his eyes closed. Does anyone else shave like this? All the men I've known who shaved did it with soap or cream in front of the mirror. I'm just curious what the rest of you guys' habits are...
i shave in the shower with my mach 3. the only time i use the mirror is to line up my sideburns, otherwise i usually have my eyes closed the whole time no shaving cream or anything
I had a beard for 10 years then one day I shaved it off, now I can't stand having a beard and have to shave---I shave in front of a mirror though, I wouldn't try it in the shower. Bustramp
oooh i found a Hoffritz slant bar razor tonight. its a double edge razor - i can't wait to try it out
I used to shave in the shower but using cream, it seemed to work well enough but then I tried electric razors and I love them (not in the shower of course)... I'm not a fan of shaving but I have to for work as well, so I use a Phillips electric with the 3 round blades on the end, works very well and doesn't draw blood
that was probably one of the best shaves i've ever had - with the slant bar - i can't wait until i get some good shaving supplies, a nice brush and good shaving soap or cream and i need better blades too, but will see after a few shaves before i buy them, DE razors are pretty cheap though
yea, i want to get a shave from a barber who knows how to use a straight blade but i'm ditchign my mach 3
Cream,HOT water, Eyes open, mirror. BLADE not electric. With the grain for face/Against for throat. Hair conditioner on any beard/mustache while in shower to soften whiskers.
