Half my head is backcombed due to the kindness of my sister. Hopefully by tonight, after watching a ton of movies, we will finish and I can post some pics.. Washing with dr bonners before the combing was AMAZING.. it lathers so wonderfully! I was thinking of wrapping a few, to encourage some tightening into uniform shapes an an early stage. Would it be ok to wrap right after backcombing? Would wool yarn stimulate knotage significantly better than cheap cotton yarn? I'm thinking of waiting a week to wash my hair.. would it be better to wait even longer the first time?

You wont have to wait too much to start washing them, they will loosen up at first anyway, but backcombing help speeding up the process, I guess good wool yarn is better, thats what I use, but just touch it with your hand if you think the texture feels good its perfect.
