Don't go straight for twist n rip, try neglect and see how it works out for you. It's better to try going natural first, then wishing you tried it later. Just think about it.

^haha enayes, your always tellin people to GO NATURAL, which is cool, but it just your opinion, as well as many others, but not everybodys.

um i highly doubt it matters or that there is a difference because either way when all is said and done you will have dreads that weren't done with wax or maintenance

and not everyone regrets not going the neglect way

i know i didn't with my last set and i don't with this set

edit: not trying to start anything i'm just tired of you saying people will regret using the twist'n'rip/backcomb method because of the fact that i don't regret it and for some people just leaving their hair alone for 6-18 months to see if it will dread by its self just doesn't appeal to them.

the only difference is how long it takes because at the end of it all your going to have dreads either way

I'm not making a judgment here, just saying that they are different. You have pointed out one difference, but there are others.

    :hurray: I agree

I am sure if your Fiance wanted to go neglect he would have already discussed that with you..

Obviously there are differences. How much they matter is up to the individual. For me, I want to be able to say that I grew dreadlocks, not that I made them.
