so, i've liked the idea of dreads since forever and i've been seriously considering dreading my hair for about a year now. I finally decided to do it, yay! I was going to wait until my finals are over (this thursday) to start the process, but I got too excited and backcombed a few sections of my hair. I did two last night. Then one this morning, and two more a few minutes ago. I'm thinking I might just do this gradually and backcomb a bunch everyday or every few hours, or just whenever i feel like it, instead of going at it and dreading my whole head in one session. so my question is, is there a problem with this? will it turn out the same as if i sat down for many hours and did it all at once? it seems easier this way, and i don't really care that i'll be walking around with half of my hair dreaded and the other half not. what do you guys think?
I think it should be fine. There's no golden rule that says all the dreads have to be done at the same time. Do whatever feels right for you.
it won't make a difference. if you go natural, some parts of your head will dread faster than others. so really, your sortof replicating it...i guess. bottom line, it's your hair, do what you want
yeah, i was also thinking i might just let it most of it go natural but just help it along a little, ya know? thanks everyone.
