belong or go to the gym? i just started since i gained like 10 lbs since i started my new job. I love it!! it totally energizes me.
once i actually get to the gym, i love it. it's the whole getting off my ass, getting my gym bag together, getting on the bus thing that makes me not go. i run 4 or 5 times a week in the morning though, and i feel great after that. it's easier too, since i just climb out of bed and throw on some shorts and get out the door. plus there's no beautiful guys and girls around to ogle me as i work out.
maybe running will be my next adventure. .I think i need to quit smoking before i go that far. so far the smoking hasnt made me to out of breath at the gym. I go for 30 minutes a day 3 days a week. its that place called curves. after I lose my 10 lbs and tone up in the right places i will join one of those gyms with all the good looking men.
oh yeah, curves is that women's only gym. actually the only gym i really, really liked was women's only. it was cool because there was young girls and moms and grannies and everyone got to know each other.. there was no pressure at all about looks or how hard you could work out or anything.
i belonged to one previous to my seperation and it was one of the better things that i had done for myself...yes i have gained it all back but i so look forward to the day i can shell out the extra doe. its worth it. its so beneficial to mind, body and spirit... good for you for joining i am happy for you.
yea, i belong to a Gold's gym. i have a student discount plan. i can also freeze up my account while i'm up at school, so i only pay like $8 a month for my account to be frozen. when i return in the summer, i can unfreeze the account and pay $40 a month. thats a great price considering what i get for it. i get unlimited access to everything the gym offers, except for the womens only part. i get to do the classes. so its a great deal when i'm home. last summer, i went 4 times a week - mondays, wednesday, thursdays and saturdays. i went after work and got a good workout in. at school, i have access to all the weights and track and pool...so yea.
i probably hadnt worked my muscles out in years, i am quite surprised that i am not as sore as what i anticipated on being. (which is a good thing). and yes olhippie i DO need to stop smoking.
Because of my insulin resistance, I have a medical membership at my health club. Free classes, free cholesterol checks, etc. I workout daily with the exception of wednesdays for my fast/church evening. This chica can leg press 515 lbs.
i have membership to a gym which is about 20 minutes drive from my home, i tried to cancel it but im locked into some gay contract and im too lazy to go and use the gym.
