Time.com just did an article about Jared Lee Loughner and the signs that he showed before his shooting rampage. I hate to sound cold hearted but don't you just love mass hysteria. Here are the six signs to look for that someone close to you may be a rampage shooter: 1) Disorganized thoughts or speech. 2) Inability to function in social situations. 3) Signs of Paranoia. 4) Regularly smoking Marijuana. 5) Scaring others. 6) Having contacts with Police. Is it just me but doesn't this sound like half the population of this website. Shit half the time I'm posting I'm trying to have a conversation at the same time so my words and thoughts come out jumbled or disorganized. I have a love/hate relationship with humanity that comes across kind of strange in social situations especially if I'm drunk. I regularly smoke Marijuana, sometimes have to resort to primitive intimidation tactics on my way to my regular job and have to call the police on unruly crack heads all of the time. I think I just hit 5 out of 6. I'm sure there are others on here that probably hit 6 out of 6 and are completely harmless. Stay Brown, Rev J
What the hell does marijuana have to do with him going on a shotting spree? That's the first thing I do when I get high, load up the AK and go looking for targets, WTF
Same old bullshit my friend. Just trying to demonize it to the unfamiliar public. Anyways yea, those are pretty vague 'signs'. A lot of people who smoke cannabis are paranoid, those two go hand in hand. A lot of people who don't smoke are paranoid as well, can you blame them? These two though seemed more serious than the others; 5) Scaring others. 6) Having contacts with Police. If someone gets their kicks from scaring others, not like halloween pop out of the closet scare, but acts of violence, potentially life threatening stunts or situations, playing with weapons, that shit isn't normal. Also, depending on the contact with police; if it's for speeding or pot use, who cares? But if we're talking B&E, public intoxication, found with weapons....don't hang out with that person.
this all sounds like conditioning to me. soon they will arrest you for things you MAY do in the future. It's like the media is prepping us for the eventual reality that is to come, where you have no liberties and are born an enemy of the state; you will have to prove you are the subservient slave by pledging to obey the system that already controls daily life in many ways. and only then will you be allowed to breath. such propaganda. I know where this is going and it is not a Utopia. They will strip our rights by every thread to 'protect' from manufactured terror. sick. it's all around us. It's everywhere and so it will be. We are heading to a dark era of single world governments and shit is not fun. If you think about it, every facet of our reality points to the obvious. Mass media mind control and conditioning to want what they extend slightly from a tethered leash.
I wonder what else was in his medicine cabinet? But we wouldn't want to advertise that would we? Might give drugs a bad name. lol
I hate how they always have to blame something. Ok so you know someone that meets all these what are you going to do? "Um.. Dude are you gonna go on a shooting rampage?"
Yes it is Pretty close to what you said. I think laws will (already are) get much more strict. A fart in church will get you 2-7. Seriously though I think that as the upper and lower classes get further apart, big changes will come. The lower class expands much quicker than the upper class, I'm sure one day they'll be glorified slaves for the rich upper class who will (already do) run everything. Lower class people's lives will consist of just working in order to make money for the rich, sort of like it is now but they'll be much more open about it. It'll basically be a 1984, Soylent Green type of society. Yet on the other hand I do have some faith that if shit ever got really bad, people wouldn't stand for it. Politicians would be assassinated, political offices would be jammed from sit ins, public offices would be burned to the ground. Hopefully that happens before 'they' have successfully found a way to brainwash us.
the others, yeah, but i don't know if i'd group public intoxication in there with the dangerous criminals..
I met all the criteria and was ready to go hunt some fools down, so I loaded my ak and my bong, I inhaled deeply all the while plotting my rampage. I then slowly exhaled and decided to get a burrito instead.
I think you should all keep in mind the way these things get twisted... For those of you who said you matched some, but not all of those 6 things... Go through them again... But this time... interpret your life as whole as seen from someone else's perspective. Pick the worst teacher you ever had an experience with... THAT is the one they will interview for you... Pick the neighbors that you have had feuds with... Remember that Second Cup employee that short changed you and you freaked out on and called a fucking moron? Prime time baby! And remember, we arent talking about the last couple of months... Every single detail from ANY time in your past would come up. I would easily hit all 6 of those points, as spoken about by other people.
Were you wandering around a cow field before you came in? Cause it sure smells like bullshit around here... :sunny:
mind control... pttf.. I blew my mind out years ago. They need to pick a different organ, like Penis control.. awe nuts..
Then you have to also factor in all those who knew the people who do these type of deeds who claim that they never saw any signs of little Johnny being anything other than normal. It is so vague that it could be applied to almost anyone.
I have all of the above! But the inability to function in social situations and the paranoia are a result of the habitual marijuana use. The disorganized thoughts thing, too...
If anything stands out as not fitting on that list it has to be marijuana use. I've had stoner friends who could barely drag their ass off the sofa to take a piss let alone organise and prepare for a shooting rampage. On the other end of the spectrum I've sat next to a guy on cocaine who I thought for sure was going to kill me. For some reason he thought he had to punch me in the shoulder every 5 seconds to get my attention... what a long ride home that was. I like people on marijuana much better, they barely talk or move.
