I have always hated sleeping. I'm feeling like waking up at 6 or 7 am just doesnt fit my biological system. For me it is best to go sleep about 1-3 am and wake up at 9-11 am. As it is said that sleeping is needed alot, does it mean that I will live shorter if I am sleeping about 6-7 hours in working days? Sure I am dead early for few hours, but still... What about oversleeping? Isn't it even worse? I feel horrible after sleeping 10+ hours. Also, when alarm clock wakes me up, I'm just a zombie, but I wake up by myself (lets say after 5-7 hours) I feel really good. How does it work for you?
I get about 6 hours sleep and If I sleep to long I feel like crap and will have a headache a lot of the times.
It can be. I have now been awake since 3pm yesterday afternoon. It's now 9pm, so about 30 hours - and it's not even for fun reasons
During the weekday when I have school I am asleep by 12pm and wake up at 6:30am, so about 6 hours or more.
Not enough! On school nights I sleep from about 12am to 6:30am and on nonschool days or weekends from maybe 2am to 12pm. I personally need about 9 hours of sleep to feel completely alert and content.
I'm retired, so I sleep unusual hours. I normally get to sleep, maybe 3 or 4AM, get up, go back to bed, get up again, go back to bed, after a few cycles of this I usually "face the day" around early to late afternoon. No real "set schedule". I just get enough sleep, and when it begins to bother me, I get up.
My biological clock is heavily dependent on habits! I need 8 hours to 8 1/2 hours. If I wake up everyday at 7.30, I'll likely wake up at about 8, not much past it on the weekend. Even if I went to bed at like 1am while I try to go to bed at 11pm on week days.
Let's see... Last night I went to bed at midnight. At 2:00AM one of my cats had a seizure. Got back to sleep at about 3:30, woke up at 6:00... I should have just stayed awake all night. :dizzy2:
I am an early morning person. I generally get 6-7 hours sleep each night. If my sleep is disrupted I have a hard time getting through the next day. Sometimes naps help if I have time. More often they just leave me worse off. I have never understood power naps. If it takes 5 - 10 minutes to fall to sleep you end up with 5-10 minutes of sleep?
Meh, bout 3-5 hours on weekdays, up to 12 on weekends. That's averaged out, as well. So I may go without sleep on any various weekday. It's called time management people! Very little time on this planet, and I really don't want to sleep half of it away. -BlkBks
