I only have me to feed. I am a rather large mammal, however.

I generally spend $45 to $55 a week, sometimes less.

I can get by on $20 if I can keep my chubby fingers outta the fridge.

If I'm cooking three good meals a day and I love to cook- for two for a week it runs 60-90. I can get by for us both on 40 or 50 though.

Who do we blame for $5 a gallon milk? The less than one percent who drive green cars..the farmers...who, I say?

we mainly eat beans, rice, salads, fresh veggies, some chicken. massive bags of granola cereal (kids love it and it lasts forever), milk. my girls eat more than dave or i do. but i can make a huge batch of some homemade chicken & noodles for less that $10, and the leftovers from that will last days. on fridays i make pinto beans and green chili, and we eat on that all weekend, too. saves a lotta money.

I don't use milk. It's nasty and unhealthy so this is irrelavant to me.

a 1/2 gallon of milk is more like $3 here at the grand canyon and my jar of instant coffee just cost me $4.

I only buy the organic kind...which hasn't gone up in price for some reason.

I'm not believing the unhealthy claim.

It is nasty, but I don't drink it straight. Just use it in my coffee.

We have rice milk & soy milk here but I forget what the prices are...I'll check next time I go in the only grocery store that's here. At least I can still buy yogurt for 50 cents a container like I did before.

Using it in coffee is okay. But to not buy the unhealthy claim...... well, that's kinda ridiculous as the facts are out there. Organic milk IS much better though.

What I gather is it's more the hormones and antibiotics given to mass cows....

The breast cancer link alone is scary but it's by far not limited to that.

I DO buy it. But organic or non mass produced milk doesn't have the same risks.

yeah, there's ethical concerns with the mass produced stuff as well. we have an organic milk delivery service here. if you sign up for a certain amount of milk, it reduces the price. it's very cool.

We go through like 4 gallons of milk a week. It's 3 bucks a gallon here.

My sister'd drink it straight from the cows teat if it were socially acceptable.

We spend about $120 per week, that feeds three adults, a child, a cat and a dog, and I carry lunch for my lone employee (usually a sandwich and fruit).

i spend maybe 40 a week at the most and rarely eat what my mom buys and I spent even less when I lived alone I think. I usually just buy a lot of fruit and veggies, popcorn, kashi, whole-wheat bread, yerba mate, cottage cheese and yogurt and I can't really stand packaged or frozen food and I don't eat meat so I think that's why my grocery bill is so low. oh and cookies...newmans chocolate chocolate chip...and once in awhile cinnamon rolls or crackers.
