How to ask my mom for a lip piercing?

Hi I am 15 and really want a lip piercing my mom has her nipples done but i really want one so how should i ask her

i just feel that body modification, be it piercings or tattoooos should be done by a adults choice,,..

quite frankly i dont like them much..

that bein said dilligaf has a couple piercings and several attoos,,an when her daughter went against what i thought we had agreed on an had her eyebrow pierced ,well needless to say i wasnt happy..

tis all good she didnt take care of it it got infected and had to come out..

karma i guess...

 

Yea, I dont like them either, my girlfriend used to have all kidns of peircings but she took em out. I only have one tatoo, and it's on my upper left arm so no one ever see's it. Course I sneaked and got it when I was 16, but yea never again. Not that mine isnt cool, I just dont want more. Hey, at least mine is original, it's a girl I drew her myself too

 

i feel its a personall choice..

however when your a minor,ya have very few "personall" choices..

and body modification aint one of them..

 

Do you have tatoos? I drew mine up the day I got it, it's really cool a girl smoking a j. But not a stupid one, it's actually the only tatoo I ever would consider cool, because I hate them so much. But I have since only drew a few pictures, used to be really good, now all I can draw is girls still, for some reason I havent forgotten how to do that

well i guess you could convince her that the place you're going to get it done is sterile and good. then just tell her why you want to get it. don't say "well you have your nipples pierced" well i'm not very good at convincing people to do things but if it doesn't work out its only a few more years and you can get it done. good luck

 

how about hey mom can i get my lip peirced?? lol i was 15 when i got mine done the first time. and i just went to a friends house took a needl jabbed it through my lip slipped a ring in and came home and showed my mom. she loved it. lets see i peirced my nose after asking. and then i peirced my eyebrow without asking. she just lookd at it and said "i didnt tell you that you could do that" and i havnt heard anything about it . lol but i mean if your moms got her nipple peirced i think shed let you..

 

yo do have rights when you're under 18. why do people always say you don't? it's simply not true. and saying that perpetuates age-based prejudice. you don't have the right to get peircings without parental consent maybe, but you certainly have rights.

 

^^ In the US, individuals under the age of 18 have virtually no rights in regards to decisions about their lives. That's all anyone was saying. Not talking about any larger, metaphysical sense of rights. Not even talking about whether or not kids under 18 should be able to make such decisions... Just putting it out there, the way that it is. All you can do is ask. If your mom doesn't want you to be pierced, she can stop you from being peirced until the day you turn 18.

I got my eyebrow pierced for my 15th birthday. I think all you really need to do (or should need to do) is show that you're responsible and that you have a real desire to get it. I had to ask for mine for 2-3 years before I got it, but yeah.

 

Hi i just got my lip piercing a few days ago and it feels great my mom was very happy and later a couple of friends wanted to touch it and i said its fine
