Does anyone here homeschool some of their children while at the same time send some other children to public school?

    Sort of.....

I homeschool my daughter and my step-daughter goes to public school because she lives with her mom (we do have joint custody and she is with us every weekend and most breaks from school).

This is our first year of this type of arrangement, so we aren't sure what their reactions will be. They are both 6, so it is hard anyway because they are both very competitive with each other.

Yes, I have a son who homeschools and a daughter who goes to public school. Once she reaches middle school though we will probably home school her as well. To go to school out here you need to make sure your children are martial arts experts!

Homeschool isn't for everyone -- some children flourish with it while others do better in a traditional classroom. We appreciate having the option, especially since we aren't all that impressed with the schools here and are in no position to move right now.
