i had a quick read through most of the thread. And I dont think anyone has pointed this out but...

You guys got married fairly young. The average age over here is 27 for girls and 32 for guys. Also put that with the fact that he has only been with three other people... I mean i know everyone and every couple is different everything but in reality he probably feels like he has tied himself down too early. The whole "what if" factor.

Its not a selfish feeling really, you only get one shot at this life and i doubt anyone would want to spend all their years questioning and regretting their sexual and relationship decisions.
