I don't remember any restrictions on hugging at any of the schools I attended.
not that I'd have obeyed.

Yeah, It was kinda frowned upon in my Jr. High. It was a step below heavy petting.

I don't think people hugged at my school.
I certainly didn't.
It seems an awful american thing...where everybody loves each other and need to express it. Makes me cringe.
