Hello, I hope these questions havent been posted b4 but i couldnt find a search function. I aquired some Hydromorphone 2mg pills and I am wondering what would be the best method of taking them between oral, insufflated or rectal. I know some will say it’s a waste not to inject it into vein/muscle but I just don’t want to. Would there be any problems taking it up the rump?.....burning? Sniffing better then taken orally? Please comment. Also any GOOD links to information on Hydromorphone would be welcome
hydromorphone is a highly-potent drug. Taking it orally should suffice. If you are going to use it rectally, use a very small dose.
Oral hydromorphone is infamous for being almost noneffective. Oral hydromorphone is a complete waste of time IMHO. IV is the most effective, then plugging anally, then snorting. The safest would be to plug is......if you are going to plug, the best way to do it is to prepare it like you were going to iv, then squirt it up your ass....sounds gross...but its actually more effective than snorting...this is the truth with most drugs actually. There are more blood vesell capilaries in your ass than in your nose...hence much more effective absorbtion.
This is not true. Hydromorphone is VERY POTENT, even orally. Snorting, injecting, or taking it rectally bypasses first pass metabolism by your liver, so it is a WHOLE lot more potent (ie, MUCH easier to OD).
Nasal or I.V are the best ways. About 4-8mgs I.V or 12-20mgs nasal does me in good. But start lower. My first time with Dilaudid I sniffed 12mgs and could barely move, kept falling alseep spontaneously, and ended up puking. Haven't tried rectal though, and don't really know why anyone would want to.
