I have 8 dollars and an empty fridge and belly.

Money can't come soon enough, but I have to wait 3 more days.

anybody else in the same boat?

You can get biscuits in a can for around $1 - they will really fill you up.

haha, you are to nice :).

My favorite thing to do when broke, it so get a pretty big bag of white rice for like 1.50 and cook a lot of it and pour a little bit of pasta sauce ($2) on it. fills me up the best for sure and is decently healthy

its crazy, it is always the condiments that are the last to go even though I use them all the time. Anyone else notice that?

    For instance:
    half bottle of bbq sauce
    half bottle of ketchup
    half bottle of salsa
    half bottle of salad dressing
    quarter bottle of pasta sauce
    quarter bottle of jam
near empty bottle of peanut butter
near full bottle of (gross) soy sauce

But I think i can get by till I get some $$...four more tofu dogs, half a can of refried beans, two dozen (or so) green beans, little bit of a pepper and onion left, little bit of cereal left, a bowl full of lettece and a little more rice :).

    Yep...rice...

    and beans, lots of beans.

I lived in a commune type house thingy last year, and when we (4-6 people) were all broke we'd chip in and buy some eggs, rice, beans, pasta, bread, potatoes and a big box of nasty bacon pieces. I think we spent less than 20$ and it kept us alive for a week... we also chipped in and bought a can of rolling tobacco so that we would all have smokes, plus the smoking does take the hunger away.
