It's already going to be OCTOBER next week. Where the hell did summer go? Next, we'll blink and it'll be christmas. It seems time goes by faster and faster as I get older too. Crazy shit!
Yeah, time does seem to go by faster when we're older. I remember as a kid how long an hour seemed to be. My estimation is it was around 3 hours long
yeah, pretty crazy. my birthday is in less than a month and it feels like it's only been a few months since the last one. life is short.
I would love that to happen here. We just get months of chilly weather and rain and grey skies. Rather prefer it frosty if it gets cold anyway :2thumbsup:
Tis Spring Here In OZ, All The Fruit Trees Are In Blossom, The Birds Are Calling At The Crack Of Dawn, And My Pair Of Magpies Have Just Hatched A Baby Or Two...:sunny:. Cheers Glen.
-10 celcius? Wow, that is as cold as we get it here too at maximum. Rarely freezes harder here in winter and most of winter it is around 1 degree celcius
Please elaborate! It would be so awesome to have a proprety in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern, and you just move twice a year so it's always spring and summer.
Well, it feels cold at zero too so I rather prefer below zero so that we have a some ice and snow (we're crazy about natural ice here, probably because we don't have enough of it unlike you guys who can't probably care less about the ice outside ). My take is -45 celcius would cause a bit too much problems here since it never freezes that hard. And yeah I'm pretty sure I would have to get used to that too
I Was Amazed By A Video I Saw On U-Tube, Where Two Girls Boiled A Kettle, Then Walked Outside And Threw The Water Into The Air, It Froze Before It Hit The Ground.... The Temp Was -40c. Cheers Glen.
well it's just an opinion of mine kind of. picture a clock - it's circular. i think calendars should be designed like that - only a spiral instead of a circle. when you are first born you are on the outside of the spiral. it take a long time to go around it once (marks one year). on subsequent years as you age it seems to take less time for a year to go by (now a year is a smaller fraction of your life....when you are 2 years old, it's 50%, when you're 4, it's 25%....when you're 50 it's only 2% so it goes by faster) it's like time is traveling down a giant snail shell, gets faster and faster as you approach the middle i don't really think this is how it IS, but it sure is how it feels i think so too, although i appreciate winter and fall to a small degree
