It's a combination of that and what insanejester said. But either way, you're bound to run into problems at some point.. kinda deal.
First, check out where it came from. The url for the image is: http://www.baptistbulletin.org/images/emerging.png What is seems to be saying is that the beatles and those who share a peace, love, acceptance philosophy are going to meet the "truth" (I.e. the Baptist, and probably more accurately, the SOUTHERN Baptist's church doctine) with a rude awakening, because they beleive in the peace love and acceptance philosophy rather than being conservatives on the religious right as the people who made it are. Note, they are about to crash into the "truth"... The reason they probably chose the beatles submerine could be many resons: One, it is easilly recognizable, whereas if they chose something like the airplane from After Bathing At Baxter's (Jefferson Airplane) it would be less recognizeable. Not to mention, the beatles are easilly defineable in the counter culture movement and about EVERYONE has heard of them and know their influence and philosophy. Also, Lennon's "Bigger than God" comment also put them in some shitty standing with the church. Not to mention, the fact that many VERY conservative Christians veiw rock music to be synominous with satan (check out jesus-saved.org, or touchet1611.com-I think those URL's are correct-) because it presents an image that challenges the norm. In the days of jazz, and the days of blues, both were seen in a similiar way. In fact, country music was seen the same way as rock music for a while. There are probably more ways to take it as well, but that is just what I saw when I first looked at it. Seems like Bullshit to me.
