So, my dad and his GF are getting married in August. They've been together for 11 years so I'm like why the hell are you making this so huge?

Anyway, the GF forced me to accept a role as a bridesmaid despite that I'll probably be gone by that time with the Army. I tried to make it clear that I didn't want to be in the wedding but she's a typical female and doesn't fucking listen.

Well, today I'm tricked to go to the mall (I'm all about some shopping), little did I know, while I was trying to head to Levi they pulled me to a bridal store.....What the fuck???

They wanted me to try on dresses. I don't wear dresses. I don't feel comfortable or normal in a dress and I be damned if I'm gonna wear one especially when I wanted no part of the wedding in the first place.

    I was pissed.

So, I flat out said hell no. I told her I didn't want to be her bridesmaid.

Guess what, everybody is pissed at me now and says that I'm trying to ruin the wedding etc......And I'm like I FUCKING TRIED TO TELL YOU!!!!

Anyways, I went and bought some really cute jeans :)

Do you dislike your fathers GF? This doesn't sound like its about a dress at all.

I don't know your situation, but I know if it were me in your place I would understand that my family has done things for me that they did not want to do but were obligated to do to keep harmony. I would return the favor even though I have never worn a suit in my life.

    No, I don't dislike her.

That's the thing, she doesn't do shit for me and my father really doesn't want to marry her in the first place.

No guy that's been in a monogamous relationship for 11 years with his GF wants to all of the sudden get married. But I don't think anyone is putting a gun to his head to do it. He is probably doing it for her, and if he loves her why not make her happy. When you do go through with it, it will be a favor to him, not to her. :2thumbsup:

You don't know this woman

She's been married 4 times before and they all died under shady circumstances. How do you think that makes me feel?

Dad even consulted a lawyer about his assets and will. He knows.

    She's forcing him into this.

I'm worried about the whole thing. That's just what pissed me off for the day.

Point was, I simply don't want to be involved in the wedding of the she-devil and my sweet father. No dress = No wedding for me = :2thumbsup:

Ohh god I know Orison :(

You know that song by Miranda Lambert - House That Built Me?....That's my dad's house to a T and that's all she wants.

I'm dad's only child. My mother helped him build that house while I was in the womb. I was brought home from the hospital there. Grew up there.

Bitch wants to take it from me along with everything else. Dad see's it but turns the other cheek

Hey, I understand where you coming from, I do not wear dresses either, and my mom keeps calling me a boy for that, and saying that I need dress more like a women.I guess she hinting that women wear dresses.

But I just decided to wear a dress at my father 50th birthday, I felt SO SO SO uncomfortable, I didn't know how to pull it off or anything, that was the worst, but I believe maybe you should just try to wear a dress for that event, how long is a wedding?

After the party I just rush home and changed.

Honestly, honestly, I hate to offend anyone but wtf......... Your materialism is disgusting and you are taking life way too seriously. There are arab kids getting bombs dropped on them, bankers manipulating whole countries into being their bitches and the people who are trying to make the world better are being branded as terrorists and being whisked off by secret services, never to be seen again. But that's nothing compared to being asked to wear a dress. And everything's alright anyway because you got some cute jeans! That were made by children forced into labour for pittance! Joy of joys.

Take a look at the real problems in the world, maybe this whole situation won't seem so bad then.

    So NO, I can't relate.

@mustlivelife - don't lie, you love to offend people or you wouldn't have posted that.

@OP - what about wearing a pantsuit or something? it's classier than jeans and a tshirt, and you'll probably be more comfortable in it than a dress.
