Kiss is the most overrrated, corporate bullshit exuces of a "rock" band ive ever listened to. I really think this is my least favorite band of all time. "i wanna rock and rol all nite and party everyday" oh lets say that over and over again..... i fucking hate them so much gene simmons is a money grubbing sob. Sonic youth once said "Gene simmons is an ugly motherfucker" on one of thier songs but i just dont hate because i like sonic youth and they coincedently said that. I just hate them for how generic they were/are. One interview one of those assclowns said "at one point we were getting to poppy.. we were losing our edge..." what edge did these guys ever have? fucking nothing. no creativity, nothing radical about their music at all... they play it super safe... and super lame.

Bands like this ruin music as it makes people who want to get into the biz thinking its alrite to make this kind of music... its not... its only ok if you just want to be another blur on the tv/radio those type of bands will never have an iconic status or be viewed as a form of artistic expression... true expression is totally pure.. untathered and just to the bone. Its when the edges get smoothed out by some suit and tie motherfucker or even worse a band knowing what there doing is slowing down creativity and innovation in music but not giving 2 shits about it due to fame and $. If i were to be an artist id feel so much more satifisfied being seen as an artform rather than being seen as a business... isnt getting into the music world about escaping the bussiness world? alteast that how i always saw it.
I saw KISS in concert, and they actually are talented, although not original. But alot of people don't see the talent hidden behind what is essentially a gimic.
Pathetic. Kiss are quite good at what they do, and anyone who can listen to "Cold Gin", "Parasite" or "God of Thunder" and not have any appresh for this band should cement their ears. Sure, Kiss degraded over the years, and now they're not active at all but their old stuff is where it's at. Don't kid yourself, even Dimebag Darrell could see it. Check out Carr Jam 1981 for a retardedly wicked drum solo.
I don't like KISS but that's because I don't like their music. Hating a band for making a lot of money or being famous and all that is kinda dumb.
I agree, alot of folks don't like certain bands for beiong popular in the first place, but it clearly is a double standard. KISS is a good band, greatest ever, not so much, but good, sure.
Kiss sucks because they care more about putting on a cool show then they do about playing there instuments well. As a musician its almost offending to see a band that sells out that big. That's my main reason for hating them, but I can't forget what everyone else has said. They are very repetative with a lot of there stuff and all they do is merchandise.
Yeah. I still think that KISS sucks, and that everything they stand for kinda sucks. They are pretty damn funny though.
thats not why i hate Kiss. i like some bands that are mainstreem and are very huge in thier name i dont have a problem with that. I have a problem with Kiss because theyre just way to generic they represent everything wrong with music. they show u dont have to be creative and you can just be a copycat hack to be considered an "artist" Simmons aint in it for the music at all if he was he wouldnt be in Kiss hes in it for all the side shit..
