I got the Dr. Bronner's, but I have a question.

So I got a nice, big bottle of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap, finally!

It says to dilute two squirts with 2 gallons or a sink-full of hot water and use a towel to massage it into your hair. Two gallons, really? Is there any other simpler way to dilute this?

How does everyone else use Dr. Bronner's? I wasn't planning on just pouring it on my head and using it like regular shampoo (it seems too watery to do that, and a little too strong), but I didn't think I'd have to use two gallons of water for two squirts! That sounds a little ridiculous and pointless.

It doesn't say massage it into your hair lol. It isn't even sold to be used as a shampoo. People use it all different ways. Some people put a couple dribbles in their palm and let the shower runoff into their hand. Other people put it in a bottle and dilute it, then just put the dilution on their head. I used to just squirt some on my hand and get my hair nice and soapy.

Whatever works for you. Just be careful because some people have said it leaves a residue. I think that has to do with hard water though. I THINK.

No, it does say massage it into your hair. I am perfectly capable of reading. ;)

"To simplify & enjoy life more, dilute 1/2 oz. or 2 squirts of this pure castile soap with 2 gallons or sinkful hot watter, then towel massage a face pack, then wring towel out & fingertip massage your hair & scalp. Enjoy the creamy emollient lather on baby, bath, beach, body, dentures, mint deodorant, shaving, mouthwash - silk - wool - pets - diapers - car - hand & foot soap."

It also has a bunch of other odd sentiments written all over the bottle, which I find sort of funny and sort of weird.

Anyway, I took a small travel shampoo bottle (empty) and put a bit of the soap in there along with some warm water. Tomorrow morning I'll just put that on my hair as shampoo and see how it goes. I'll dilute it if necessary, or put more Dr. Bronner's in if I feel I should.

i put one decent size squirt or two smaller ones into an old shampoo bottle and fill the rest up with water. i just squirt it on my head and let it run through. maybe scrub a little with my hands to make sure it gets all over.

i find the best dilution is about 1 part bronners 12 parts water
that you read was for a refreshing facial lilke treatment..very weak.. 1-210 to 1-12 is perfect for hair and body.. 1-8 or so for floors dishes laundry whatever 1-20 i think for toothpaste (havent tried it)
the point is its very potent..and economical..that 1 bottle u got after diluting should fill like 12 bottles that sizxe so u can stretch it a long way
u can use it straight but its a wasre and doesnt rince as thouroughly as diluted
u can even dilute it to the point that it bartely lathers at all but it'll still clean really good
