thanks to you (whats your name, hun?) and debbie i know its not a big thing.. i'm just pretty sure my goal of getting a social work degree and working with foster children wont be possible if i have on my record that i give minors alcohol..
Do you think there's a chance that they will throw it out? (First offense sort of thing?) Perhaps you can make a deal so it won't show up on your record...
thats what we're trying for. my lawyer had told me a month ago i shouldnt have to ever see the court room. then this week he tells me when its going to be.. which is why now i'm freaking out. i'll call him tomorrow and beg. i think it should get dismissed. it wasn't intentional (which i think with this crime, it should only be the ones who do it intentionally that get in trouble) and i have a clean record. and i havent been partying anymore or anything even. (nor do i want to turn 21 now... since my friends will beg me to buy them alcohol and i'll say no)
i've been to court before. it isn't that bad. bust out the glasses, shave your armpits, maybe borrow a friends calc textbook.
That might help your case (not that he was working for the cops), because if he got injured it might be bad. Thing is, if you didn't know - you didn't know. I think there are better things these people could do with their time rather than harassing nice people.
are you implying i dont already shave my armpits? ahhaa. we're already using my 3.3 GPA and my choice in Majors as to help prove I'm a good kid.
did you card him? cos if not, well, that is against the law. but i'm sorry. i'm sure it will all work out fine. i'm not gonna say anything more, false hope sucks.
well, i hope it works out. when i went to court, it was because of drugs and it was a first offense and they dropped most of it.... i'm sure it will work out. and the names Aaryn. Nice to meet ya.
wouldnt me IDing him, seeing he's a minor and then selling it to him be a bigger crime? The law is if I THINK he looks over 27, I dont have to ID him. Its complete specualtion. He looked old for his age. I didn't commit a crime, I misjudged someone's appearance. I'm writing my state government to change the law once this is all finished.
damn, my mom was almost fucked on the exact same thing about a year ago. i'm sorry. she got out of it though, i hope the best for you. i think law should be card 'em if they dont have sufficient age wrinkles.
i think it should be the only way you can buy something is with ID, no matter how old you are. there were people who would give me their IDs who looked 40, and were only 23. there were people who looked 14, whos ID said they were 19 (cigarette buyer).
