I haven't been around too often. Life got really super crazy, we moved and had a baby within a week. *whew* Anyway, she is here and we all love her to pieces. My 2 yr old had issues, especially since I am still nursing her. We have had some pretty tough moments, but like they say, this too shall pass. We named her Dakota Avalon and she was a whopping 8lbs 15 oz. I did it all natural and needless to say the birth was pretty damn intense. Here she is..
Congrats, Cre. Welcome, Dakota. I love the milk bubble. Bless you for tandem nursing. It IS a challenge. But so good for a toddler who really still needs it. Toddlers have trouble when a new baby comes. I can venture a guess that it might be actually worse if they weren't sharing the breast. It can really help the toddler bond with the baby and the baby bond with the tot. Blessings.
Blessed are you, she is a beautiful gift! Congratulations "The first time her laughter unfurled its wings in the wind, we knew that the world would never be the same."~Brian Andreas
Many warm congratulations to you! Your new little one is adorable. Don't worry, your 2 year old will adjust in time. We had a very difficult spell with our oldest son, who was 3.5 years old at the time we gave birth to our twins. Not only did he have to deal with being seperated from me for over a week because I had had severe complications and was in the ICU, but when I did come home, we didn't have just one baby, but two. It was really tough and he did not want anything to do with his new brother and sister. He started acted out, regressing back into his "baby years", not using the potty, and all of that jazz. But luckily, this phase didn't last too long, and although he thoroughly enjoys tormenting his siblings, he loves them dearly and can't wait for them to get up in the mornings and after their naps. He is 5 years old now and his brother and sister are 19 months old. Congratulations again! I miss having itty-bitty babies around! Big hugs...
PS. I really miss my babies being little tiny babies. Seeing Dakota's picture made my uterus throb, lol.......
Thanks everyone! She is my 4th. Our other two are 6 and 11. THey really help out alot with lil miss 2 yr old too. I think the hardest times come at night, because we also cosleep. My husband tries so hard to be helpful during these times, but unfortunatly he was not blessed with beeboos. lol Anyway, thanks again. The words of encouragement really do help.
