At 11:35 today I made the choice to end the suffering of my best friend Aspen. She was a dog I adopted six years ago from a shelter in a nearby town. She one week ago started to have issues with bleeding of her mouth and intestines and it was diagnosed that (I do not know the exact name) her Immune system was attacking her red blood cells. The illness spread quickly and she barely could move and would not eat. I force fed her medication but it did not work. So today I brought her to the vet and the blood tests were pretty bad so I opted to end her pain. This is for Aspen the best friend/family member I ever knew. R.I.P. Aspen my dear friend.
hey this speaks to me.. i have a nine year old puppy named Blaze. he is a poodle but for some reason the breeder has been breeding only the smallest of the litter so he is dwarfed.. anyway last month he was diagnosed with melanoma and apparently has about a year to live.. im only 16, ive had this dog for what feels like my whole life... i am so sorry about your dog, but remember that a dog never truly dies if you allow them to live in your heart xo
i'm sorry to hear that you lost your friend. she had six years with you that she might not have had if you hadn't adopted her from the shelter. i wish you comfort in your loss
My Thoughts Are With You Mate...:grouphug: Also I Just Wanted To Add, There Is A Pic Of Aspen In Burnt's Profile. Cheers Glen.
Sorry to hear of your loss.... It's hard to lose a good dog like that. They become so much a part of our lives.
I am so sorry. It is so hard to have to make this kind of decision. Know that you gave Aspen a good life. Celebrate all she gave to you in the time you shared. HUGS.
Oh,I'm sorry. It's so hard to lose a family member like that. There are sooo many little potential friends that never get a chance to love and be loved. You did good.
I am very sorry for your loss Burnt. It's hard knowing that our animal family members just don't live as long as we do and we will have to eventually say goodbye. :grouphug:
I'm so sorry to hear this . I know it's so hard , but it's the most unselfish, loving thing one could do . Thank you for adopting, it's a wonderful thing . And thank you for doing the right thing . R.I.P , Aspen And a big group :grouphug: hug goes out to you today .
Burnt you did the right thing. My familys thoughts are with you. We LOVE dogs around here are you thinking about rescuing another dog? I know its Kinda earlyd to think about it, but you might want to.
I just got her ashes back today and got to figure out where to spread her ashes, I'm thinkin our camping spot, we had good times there.
I'm new here and don't know you, Burnt but I do know what it's like to loose a dearly loved dog - it's a hard thing but you did good by her and gave her a good life. It takes time to get over, one day at a time. Seems like everyone here is sending out comforting thoughts to you, I'll add mine in with them. So Sorry.
