So today I was at the supermarket with my nephews (who are biracial) and people were staring like crazy! They weren't even being discreet, I was sitting on a bench waiting for my sister to check out and holding my nephew, and had a staring contest with this middle aged woman. I could almost hear her thinking (what's she doing with that baby?! and look at her hair!) seriously. I hate backwards midwestern types. rant over.
p.s if thats not the case....I live on the west coast and am always getting gawked at! So...its everywhere.
I get stares but I just assume it's because I'm a rockstar. In reality I'm more of a circus freak but I can dream.
on vacation in florida, my mom was at the walmart and there was this wife and husband and the hubby was disabled in a chair and his wife was jerking the chair around, telling him to shut the fuck up when he was telling her he wsa in really bad pain and the people around them looked like they didnt even care now if that happened here, there would be a beat down haha
Im in florida. my family....hicks. lets see, I spend yesterday harvesting and shucking corn with my grandparents, then watched my brother make a corncob pipe. yep. hicks are in florida, too.
i live in the midwest and it's not like that where i live. although i gander it might be that way if i travelled an hour or so out of town. ...or visited wal mart after 11pm.
come try "eastern europe" and go back home with a bigass smile. ;p neeah people everywhere stare...come to think of it i give dreadlocked persons more attention aswell.
i never knew the midwest had that stereotype. here in indiana, we think that of kentucky and the south.
I only started staring at her after I noticed she was staring at me. And my hairs a big frizzy mess. No locks or anything of course but lots of frizz and tangles. Anyway I'm going to assume that people were looking because of how beautiful I am and my nephews also.
