Ok I Dont Knoe If Its Just Me But I Hate The Years Of 2000 And On. I Wish It Was 1969 And Up Cuase Everythign Would Be So Much More Eayser And Pluse Wouldt Get Made Fun Of For Who I Am And How I Dress. I Love The 60's And 70's Peace Liam
love the life and time you are in, appreciate the history, but don't be living in the past man, this time has it's advantages too, just live it up
there is no better time to be living than now, i think. maybe not the most enjoyable, but it's damn intense.
Well sure, don't live in the past, But today is a very good time to be a hiipie... a tyranical and scanalous US president, a pointless war, Global warming...Really I can see a hippie reveloution cominf
Man what a pussy, have a cry dude, make life what you want, dont wait for everyone else to do it first. What a sap
Is this thread serious? Because I thought I just saw you defending this guy and stomping on Henry, a thread back... though now you seem to be hopping on the bandwagon. I don't know... I'm not sure if the OP is actually serious and I really don't like the guy's attitude above me. All I can say is if you're going come here to be a total douche, don't even bother coming here anymore. Thanks... it's really unpleasant.
yes, i think it would have been real cool to be around in the 60s and such but i unfortunalty was not so im over it nad try not to let it get to me but it is a great day and age to be a hippie
that really sux man. thinking like that you be missing out on all the shit thats happening today........i think a quote from the movie "waking life" says it the best: Man on the Train: Hey, are you a dreamer? Wiley: Yeah. Man on the Train: I haven't seen too many around lately. Things have been tough lately for dreamers. They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore. It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists. The dreamer is banished to obscurity. Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too. By dreaming, every day. Dreaming with our hands and dreaming with our minds. Our planet is facing the greatest problems it's ever faced, ever. So whatever you do, don't be bored, this is absolutely the most exciting time we could have possibly hoped to be alive. And things are just starting
yeah i love WAKING LIFE. and today is a good day to be a hippy. and if you wanted to be "surrounded" by hippy culture or whatever, come to Berlin....its so hippy here, I love it. Friedrichshain, and Kreuzberg are verrry hippy. and pot is practically legal here too, if that interests you. but yeha, you gotta make everything wat you want it to be. you gotta take it into your own hands.
In 2006 a man lit himself on fire in public to protest the war in Iraq and no one noticed, it was not even reported in the media for 5 days. Perhaps the 60's were a better time.
I am very grateful to be alive RIGHT NOW. We live in a world that is thriving off of influence. 'We the people' are the ones who decided what goes on in this world. It might not seem like it, because everyone is sitting back, getting stoned, and complaining about Bush ... Get out there! Raise your voice.
'69 was mostly a bunch of crap anyway. I don't even know why people always bring that year up, other than Woodstock, which was also a bunch of crap and people with bad acid. Neil Young admitted that, which is the reason he threatened to hit the cameraman with his guitar if he came near him and why he isn't in the video with CSN, y'all should know this... People need to quit thinking that the world is ending because they think they're hippies and they missed their year or something. Go to frickin High Sierra, Wakarusa, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Langerado, Haymaker, Floydfest, Smilefest, 10,000 Lakes... because most people don't even know what they're missing out on these days. Because to be honest, I would rather have been at Clifford Ball, Big Cypress, or It, in the 90s... People whine too much about things they don't understand. If you don't like it, then do something, because quite honestly, it isn't my problem. The world is bigger than you percieve it to be, and if you haven't learned that yet, you may get a big lesson one day that will change your outlook on life that makes you thankful for dust.
I do not like this time, either, but like Josh said up there, fuckin' get out there!!! Be you, unapoligetically.....and BTW....'69 was the beginning of the end of everything ideal of the hippie generation
