I have a serious question....for americans

Do you ever see native americans?

This might seem an odd question but it occured to me the other day....

I mean in Africa natives are everywhere, but in Australia less then 1% of people are natives and most of them live in the outback. So yeah.....whats the situation in the us of a....

 

I am not sure of the No. and this is purely from my own thinking..the amount of native americans killed and the amount that died out tribaly speaking plus the fact that you get 'half breeds' etc might be why.. it is difficult to notice 'native americans' as such when a dilution has occured over the years.. How many polish people do you notice around ?...It is slightly easier to notice 'black people'..

 

I'm an eighth Cherokee... hmm, I notice quite a few around here, then again, I live on the Chesapeake Bay and I'm about five miles from two reservations.

i must have seen native americans in my life but here almost everybody has an indian ancestor because the french settlers , my ancestors, loved a lot the native american women...

here the indians living in reservations have a pretty bad reputation of people living on the federal governement. the mohawk , there is 3 mohawk reservations near montreal, have a bad reputation of dangerous armed druggies because one day some mohawks went into a fight with the police . they had ak47 and they killed a police officier ...

yeah....i'd heard that the reservations are often like that....life is such a bitch

 

haa, its sad that the only full native american i've seen was in a parade.

I know alot of "native americans", they go to my school.

 

in canada the majority of native americans live in reservations. there is also a lot of people lying to the fisc . they say they are indians and the indians do not pay any taxes ... lol

Though you can be proud of your heritage, i would just ask Micha to ask her relatives about her family tree before she sits her grand kids down for a little story telling.

I 've had MANY friends who happen to be Native American. I've known Ojibwa, and Paiute both. (SP.)
