Well, that is a weird thing to say. First of all, being dirty is a relative thing. What is dirty to a normal person and what is dirty to an obsessive compulsive person are 2 totally differant things. Also, many hippies have chosen to be dirty, but I think it is a matter of choice. I shower daily. But if someone chooses not to, right on to them.

I usually shower everyday...I just feel better if I do, although I don't judge anyone who does it less...just a matter of preference and lifestyle...

IMO, you don't have to be dirty to be a hippy; Hippy is as much a state of mind as anything else, not a fashion statement (although it can be fun to wear the tie dye, patchie clothes, patchouli, whatever), not a statement of cleanliness, or lack thereof...what's in your heart is the main thing... :sunglasse
